For most women, housing represents the single largest cost in their budgets.
20% of Texas homeowners and 45% of Texas renters spend more than 30% of their income on housing.
Between July and October of 2021, 43% of women in households behind on rent reported that it was ‘somewhat likely’ they would have to move due to being evicted in the next two months.
Over one out of four Texas women in households with children in school reported that computers, digital devices or internet are not always available for their children to use for educational purposes.
